Give your wheel / two-finger scroll a workout. We plot each delta so you can spot jitter or direction flips.
Every tick of your mouse wheel, trackball, or two‑finger trackpad gesture emits a wheel event with a signed delta. We capture those deltas at your browser’s native sampling rate, plot them as bars, and compute running statistics—no installs, no data leaves your device. Typical high‑quality gaming mice show clean, even‑height bars. Sudden spikes, gaps, or direction flips usually point to a worn encoder or firmware debouncing issue.
MouseTester.uk ("we", "our", "the Site") is operated by INLine Computers and is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data is collected when you use the Site, who collects it, and what your options are.
| Type | Collected by | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Mouse, touch, click, scroll and tap events you make in the testing tools | No-one — processed entirely in your browser | To run the test you requested. This data never leaves your device. |
| Page views, approximate location (country/region), device type, browser, referrer | Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) | To understand which pages and tools are most useful so we can improve them. |
| IP address, device info, advertising identifiers, cookie IDs | Google AdSense (Google LLC) | To serve advertising, limit ad frequency, and detect fraud. |
| Click-through events on Amazon affiliate links | Amazon Associates (Amazon EU S.à r.l. or its regional affiliates) | To attribute affiliate commissions on qualifying purchases. We do not see your purchases or any personal Amazon data. |
The Site uses cookies and local storage for analytics and advertising via Google. When you grant consent, Google may set cookies such as _ga (Analytics), NID, IDE (advertising), or store data in your browser's local storage in order to:
For more on how Google uses data from sites that use its services, see policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you will see a Google-certified consent banner (Google Funding Choices) on your first visit. The banner is provided by Google directly, not by us, and lets you accept or refuse the use of cookies for personalised advertising and analytics.
Until you respond to the banner, the Site loads in a privacy-preserving mode using Google Consent Mode v2: no advertising or analytics cookies are stored, and only anonymous, cookieless signals are sent to Google.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by:
Some pages on the Site (notably the Tools and recommended products pages) contain affiliate links to Amazon. If you click one of these links and go on to make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Affiliate links are clearly marked, and the presence of an affiliate link does not influence the editorial recommendation.
We do not sell, rent or share any personal data with third parties for their own marketing. Google and Amazon process data they collect through their own products as independent controllers under their respective privacy policies.
All testing tools run client-side in your browser; your input data never leaves your device. The Site is served over HTTPS to secure the limited data exchanged with Google's and Amazon's servers.
Depending on your location, you may have rights under the UK GDPR, EU GDPR or other data protection laws to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data. Because the data is held by Google or Amazon, you exercise those rights directly with them:
The Site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
